Easter Bunny Returning To Newport Mall, Without The Brawl
The Easter Bunny returns to Newport Mall in Jersey City, with no controversy this year. Find out mall hours or reserve a bunny visit below.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — A month before Easter (Sunday, April 17), the Easter Bunny is scheduled to hop back into the Newport Centre Mall — a popular mall near the Jersey City waterfront — to take photos with children.
The mall, accessible by several forms of public transit, is especially popular because of the 3.5 percent sales tax at participating stores.
The bunny will arrive on March 18 and be available for visits until April 16, the day before Easter. (See the ongoing schedule of hours at the mall here). See below links to make reservations to see the bunny.

The Easter Bunny Controversy
Six years ago, the bunny's visit stirred a bit of controversy when there was an apparent brawl between the actor playing the bunny and a father that made national news (see the video and story here; beware of salty language in the video).
A judge ordered the pair not to have contact with each other.
No such problems have been reported in the years since then. A spokesperson for the upcoming bunny experience did not comment by press time when asked about the matter.
