HOBOKEN, NJ — Hoboken voters will decide by Tuesday at 8 p.m. who will be the new councilman for the south waterfront section of the mile-square city. [WANT HOBOKEN runoff election results? Look here after 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5.]
The position is significant, as it may change the balance of the voting on the nine-member Hoboken City Council.
Three candidates ran for the 1st Ward council seat in November, and only the two top vote-getters are in a runoff.

Paul Presinzano and Rafi Cordova are vying for the spot, which pays $35,000 a year.
