Aikido - The Way of Harmony - is a graceful, non-violent martial art appropriate for male and female adults of all ages, regardless of skill level. It's excellent for physical fitness, and - while there is no striking - it teaches useful defensive skills.
Michael McNally Sensei (Godan or 5th degree blackbelt) is the founder and chief instructor of Hoboken Aikikai. He is a Shidoin (USAF Certified Senior Instructor); he also teaches at the highly regarded New York Aikikai in New York City where he began training in 1981 under Shihans Yoshimitsu Yamada and Seichi Sugano, both 8th degree blackbelt and direct students of O Sensei, the founder of Aikido. Yamada Sensei is president of the United States Aikido Federation (USAF) and one of the most respected and influential teachers of Aikido in the world today.
In early 2007 Michael NcNally opened Hoboken Aikikai. Please join us for a fun hour and a good work out. Visitors and students from other dojos are welcome.
