Stevens: Women's Soccer Gio's Pizza Eating Contest Fundraiser

The Stevens Institute of Technology women’s soccer team will be hosting a night out at Giovanni’s Pizza & Restaurant in efforts to generate proceeds for a trip to Tobati, Paraguay. The event will take place on Tuesday, April 3, from 5 to 9 p.m. and will be the first ever pizza eating contest at Giovanni's!

Giovanni’s is located in Hoboken at 603 Washington Street, right on the corner of Washington and Sixth Avenue. Ten-percent of all sales throughout the event will benefit women’s soccer and their efforts to travel to Paraguay and Team Tobati.

There will be four separate contest times taking place at 5:15, 6:15, 7:15 and 8:15 p.m. Anyone wishing to participate must sign up with a Stevens women's soccer student-athlete or one of the coaching staff members.

Those who take part will have to finish a "Giovanni's Super Special" house pie within 20 minutes to get a picture in the Hall of Fame. The pizza will be free if the challenge is completed, but participants must pay $40 and have their picture posted on the Hall of Shame if the challenge is not finished.

The team will be holding this event on the first Tuesday over the next three months.
