Wire Jewelry Design Class

Wire Jewelry Class by Jodi Zulueta

The hob’art gallery is excited to announce the date of the first basic wire jewelry design class to be held at the gallery in the Monroe Art Center. Participants will learn fundamentals of shaping wire and combining with beads to create a wearable work of art! A nominal fee of $30 includes all wire and bead supplies which must be paid by cash or check at the beginning of the class. There are three tools needed to be brought to class: Round nose pliers, Flat nose or chain nose pliers, and Wire cutters. Required tools can be purchased either at a craft store such as Michael’s, or at the class for $5 for each tool.

The instructor, Jodi Zulueta, has a degree in Communication Design from New Jersey City University where she studied under such artists as Ben Jones and Anneke Prins Simons. Her focus is primarily jewelry design and painting, sometimes combining both art forms to create a juxtaposition of 2D and 3D interactions. The materials she favors are metal, crystals, acrylic, oil, ink and glass. Those interested, please reserve your place by emailing Jodi Zulueta ateldwenne@yahoo.com or call at 201-780-7952 by June 25. Spots are limited!
