Ex-Gov. Christie Catches Up By Paying Jersey City Parking Ticket; Mayor Fulop Comments
Gov. Christie caught up on a late parking ticket in Jersey City, and Mayor Steve Fulop chimed in.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Although this week's political news began with the New Jersey Globe reporting that a car registered to former Gov. Chris Christie — a possible presidential hopeful — was 10 days late in paying a $50 parking ticket in Jersey City, Christie paid the ticket after the reporter reached out to him.
(The pair do have some history together.)
The Globe reported Monday that Christie's car got ticketed because it didn't move for street cleaning. The story noted that it was parked near a candy shop, although "It’s not clear what the former two-term governor’s destination was, or even if he was the driver of the gray Audi registered to him."

Thus, the candy mention seems like a stretch, and we don't mean taffy.
In any case, Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop, who's running for governor, couldn't resist the chance to chime in on this story later Monday.

"Thank you @GovChristie — we appreciate the accountability," he wrote on Twitter. "Next time mass transit may be a better option."
Seems like the main form of transportation Christie needs to stay away from is helicopters.
