Before Fatal Hoboken Crash, NJ Transit Was Audited in June: NYT Report
A deadly train crash at Hoboken Terminal on Thursday left a woman dead and hundreds injured.

HOBOKEN, NJ — New Jersey Transit was reportedly audited by the Federal Railroad Administration in June for safety problems, an official told the New York Times on Saturday.
Officials began the audit in June after noticing, "an increase in safety violations and a leadership vacuum at the top of the agency," per the New York Times. A series of violations were issued to New Jersey Transit at the completion of the audit.
The official who spoke to the Times was briefed on the investigation but was not authorized to discuss it publicly.
