FBI Releases Hoboken’s 2016 Crime Stats: Murders, Rapes, Robberies

How many rapes, robberies and assaults did Hoboken experience last year? Find out these totals and see other local crime statistics here.

HOBOKEN, NJ — How many murder, rapes, robberies and assaults did Hoboken experience last year? These stats – and other local crime data – are available in the FBI’s recently released 2016 Crime in the United States report.

The report is a statistical compilation of offense, arrest and police employee data reported by law enforcement agencies voluntarily participating in its Uniform Crime Reporting Program.

It’s worth noting that rape totals may have changed since 2013 partly due to a new definition of the crime, which now stands as: “penetration, no matter how slight, of the vagina or anus with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person, without the consent of the victim.”
