HOBOKEN, NJ — A 60-year-old Hoboken man was arrested last month after allegedly opening someone's car door and striking the driver on the head, torso, arms, and leg with a wooden plank, police said.
Christopher Linton, 60, of Hoboken, was charged on Wednesday, April 24 with burglary, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, and unlawful possession of a weapon, the Hoboken police said.
Police said that at approximately 3:40 p.m., Sgt. Steven Kranz and Police Officers Jessica Arebalo, Jessica Pizanie, Roberto Cuevas, and Arturo Gonzalez responded to the 50 block of Jefferson Street, near the town's southern border, on reports of an assault.

Police determined that the incident started as a verbal argument over a parking spot, they said.
The matter escalated when Linton grabbed the plank, police said.

Linton was placed under arrest and taken to Hoboken Police Headquarters. After processing, he was released.
