Sometimes it pays to be small.
That town to the east of Hoboken, the one at the other end of the PATH train, has 1,726 establishments offering Happy Hour specials in its drinkeries or 3.7 for every square mile.
The Mile Square city on the other hand (which is actually nearly two miles square) has only 63 watering holes, but that's 31.5 per square mile, which may be the densest concentration of bar specials anywhere in the U.S.

Portland was tops (they have 28 local breweries), followed by Washington, D.C. New York City was 5th (the sheer number of bars did count for something).
good job for the right lawyerIf you're interested in helping the city get out of some of its legal messes, you have through Friday to apply for the post of corporation counsel. That's the deadline for applications for the vacancy created when current city attorney Michael Kates resigned last week. Kates' salary of $103,000 may be tempting but you might give some thought to the legal thickets ahead, including the mess over the failed sale of the old city garage and the conflicting claims to the site of a new garage.

And hey, if that doesn't work, you could always just photocopy various body parts and post the copies around town, as this young woman appeared to be doing. With credit to TheBokenOnline.
