HOBOKEN, NJ — Hoboken's 6-foot statue of native son Frank Sinatra has been delivered to the Hudson River waterfront, and celebrities — including Tina Sinatra — will be on hand Sunday for an unveiling.

That date is the birthday of the late crooner, who was born in the mile-square city in 1915.

Sunday's unveiling will start at 1 p.m. It will include Sinatra's daughter Tina, actor Joe Piscopo, and numerous other dignitaries. The events are open to the public.

Artist and poet Carolyn Palmer, who has sculpted Pope Francis and Thomas Jefferson, created the tribute. She's best known for her Lucille Ball piece that replaced an infamous version that was nicknamed "Scary Lucy."
The statue was paid for with private funds, reports have said.
Sinatra spent his early years on the west side of the city in a house at 415 Monroe St. that has since burned down. (There's a bronze star there as well as "Frank's Place" Condos.)
Sinatra passed away on May 14, 1998.
