Florida Woman Charged With DWI After Overturning Car In Hoboken, Injuring Bystander

Police said the driver hit two parked cars, forcing one against a bystander, who was taken to the hospital.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Police charged a Florida woman with driving while intoxicated in Hoboken on Sunday night after she struck two parked cars, injuring a bystander, and flipped her car over, police said.

Police said Raissa Restivo, 34, of Boca Raton, Fla., was charged with driving while intoxicated, assault by auto, and reckless driving.

Police said that before 6:50 p.m., Restivo struck two parked vehicles, and then her car flipped over. One of the parked vehicles was pushed against its owner, who was standing outside. That person was transported to a local hospital for a leg injury, police said.

Police said that after the crash, Officers Arroyo and Fitzgibbons and Lt. Gonzales responded and observed an overturned Chevy Cruise. The vehicle’s driver, who remained on the scene, was identified as Restivo.

During the on-scene investigation, Restivo was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated and assault by auto. She was later released.
