Foggy Weather Causes Accidents, Traffic Delays On Wednesday For NJ to NY Commuters
Authorities reported accidents on the Goethals and Bayonne Bridges, and enacted a speed restriction on the George Washington Bridge.

Foggy weather and wet weather conditions caused multiple traffic accidents and delays for commuters traveling from New Jersey to New York on Wednesday.
According to the National Weather Service, patchy, dense fog with visibility less than a quarter of a mile was seen in Essex, Passaic and Bergen counties, causing “greatly reduced visibilities” in the area.
The Port Authority of NY/NJ first alerted commuters about the weather conditions around 4:30 a.m., when it issued an alert that it enacted a 35 mph speed restriction at the George Washington Bridge and a 25 mph restriction at the Outerbridge Crossing.
