Fred Armisen, Other Celebs Coming To Jersey City

Comedian/musician Fred Armisen, as well as Guided By Voices and 'Lez Zeppelin' will perform for audiences in Jersey City this month.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Although Maxwell's Tavern in Hoboken has left, there are still unique music venues in Hudson County, including White Eagle Hall in Jersey City.

This coming Thursday, the comedian, musician and "Portlandia" co-creator Fred Armisen will perform a show at the venue.

The venue also has other name acts coming up, as well as several tribute bands.

The annual "Last Waltz," a musical tribute to The Band, will be performed around Thanksgiving, as is tradition.

Later this month, the acclaimed indie rock band Guided by Voices will perform, as well as the all-girl Led Zeppelin tribute quartet, Lez Zeppelin.
