Free Pools And Spray Parks Hudson County Residents Can Use
Here are lists of local pools and spray parks available to Hoboken, Jersey City, and Secaucus residents as temperatures soar past 90.
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ —Hoboken doesn't have a community pool, and its residents are often unaware that there's a free Olympic-sized pool just up the 14th Street Viaduct in Union City at Firemen's Memorial Park, with an adjacent kiddie splash area. It's open to all Hudson County residents.
There are also a number of interesting spray parks and pools in Hoboken, Jersey City, and surrounding towns.
For example, the photos above were taken at Washington Park on the Jersey City Heights/Union City border on Wednesday, where an extensive spray area includes a number of unique water features (like a bucket that fills up and dumps a stream of water on any kid bold enough to stand and wait).
