Get Free Flu Shot And COVID Vaccine To Prepare For Thanksgiving, Hoboken Mayor Urges
The city of Hoboken offered free flu shots and COVID vaccines to people age 5 and up on Tuesday, Nov. 15. Details below.
HOBOKEN, NJ — Hoboken will offer free updated COVID-19 boosters for the new variants to people 5 years old and older — and the seasonal flu vaccine — on Tuesday, Nov. 15, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 605 Jackson St. Eligible people may receive both at the same clinic.
“As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday and gather indoors with friends and family, I encourage everyone to take the steps we know will help keep us safe: get the updated booster and seasonal flu shot,” said Mayor Ravi Bhalla. “Thank you to Medicine Man Pharmacy & Compounding for the continued partnership to host these clinics for our residents.”
To be eligible, people must have received their last vaccine or booster at least two months ago.

The updated boosters protect against both the original COVID-19 virus and the Omicron variants.
The clinic will also provide residents 5 years old and older with the seasonal flu vaccine.

To make a required appointment for either the flu vaccine, updated COVID-19 booster, or both, go to www.hobokennj.gov/vaccine.
Residents will need to book two separate appointments if they want both the flu vaccine and the updated booster, but Medicine Man Pharmacy & Compounding will administer both shots at the same time during either appointment time.

Hoboken's regional Community Transmission level is currently at Medium Risk.
The state said that 90 percent of Hoboken residents age 12 and up have received the first dose of the vaccine, and 85 percent have received two doses. However, information was not provided about how recent the vaccines are, and the state hasn't given information on booster statistics.
