- DIY, Learn to Bake Bread - Love bread? Want to learn how to make it? The folks at the Hoboken Public Library is hosting a series of DIY workshops and yes, you guessed it, this week you'll learn how to make bread from the experts at Marie's Bakery. Learn all the tricks and tips you need to know to make bread from scratch and then whip some up for your family or friends this weekend! The event is this Thursday, 6 p.m., meet at the library beforehand.
- Acrobatics & Theater - Cirque-du Soleil? No way! Instead, check out Traces, the neocircus group, 7 Fingers, at the Union Square Theater this Friday for a show that will leave you breathless and amazed. The group combines traditional acrobatics with contemporary theater and dance to bring you a show you won't soon forget. - Saturday Golf - Have you been itching to get to the golfing range this summer, but haven't had a chance due to time or weather constraints? Spend your Saturday golfing indoors at Chelsea Piers where you won't only get to tee off, but you can try your hand at the virtual golf simulators, grab a beer from the Chelsea Brewery located below the course, or kick back with a pizza in between rounds. This is a golfing experience for those who love golf, but can't commit to taking the trip to the green. If you do want to spend the day outside, the golf club also offers outdoor areas overlooking the water.
- Guided Tours at the High Line - Before the summer's over, head to The High Line in New York on Saturday for a guided tour of the area which is the perfect way to make your Saturday afternoon as relaxing as possible. Meet at the Gansevoort Plaza under the High Line at 11 a.m. to learn all about the history, design and natural elements of this beautiful park.
- Lucille Ball Showcase - Do you love Lucy? If you're a fan, you won't want to miss "We Love Lucy" a compilation of the best of Lucy at the New York Paley Center for Media this Sunday. The celebration is to mark 2011 as the 100th anniversary of Lucille Ball's birth and the 60th anniversary of her show, "I Love Lucy."
