Have A Teen Struggling With Mental Health In Hudson County? NAMI Can Help Caregivers

NAMI Hudson County is hosting a virtual support group and a six-session NAMI Basics class for caregivers of youth with mental health issues.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — Hudson County residents can access virtual support and education programs through NAMI Hudson County during February. These offerings are designed to assist parents, caregivers, and other family members who provide care for youth experiencing mental health symptoms.

One of the upcoming events is a virtual support group. This group is scheduled for Tuesday from 7-8:30 p.m. People interested in participating in this support session are required to register in advance.

NAMI Hudson County is also offering a NAMI Basics class. This is a six-session education program specifically tailored for families and caregivers of youth aged 18 and younger. The class aims to provide essential information and resources for those supporting young individuals with mental health symptoms.

The NAMI Basics class will be conducted virtually on Monday evenings. The sessions are scheduled to begin on Feb. 23 and continue weekly through March. Each session will run from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Registration for the NAMI Basics class must be completed by this Thursday.
