Headlining Band Announced For Free Hoboken Arts And Music Festival
The Feelies will release their seventh album next month on Hoboken's own Bar/None Records. You can see them free outdoors on Oct. 1.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Besides enjoying 300 vendors on seven blocks of Hoboken next month, you can see concerts all day on two stages, including a just-announced headlining band.
Local favorites the Feelies will headline Hoboken's Fall Arts & Music Festival on Sunday, Oct. 1.
The Feelies will take the Observer Highway Stage, just four blocks from the Hoboken Train Terminal, at 4:45 p.m.

The band features (pictured above) Stan Demeski, Dave Weckerman, Brenda Sauter, Glenn Mercer, and Bill Million.
The Feelies are releasing their seventh album and first ever live album, Some Kinda Love, on Oct. 13 through Hoboken’s well known Bar/None Records.

"Some Kinda Love features their performance of an extensive retrospective set of songs written for the Velvet Underground," says a release.
Earlier in the day, acts including the Bongos and the Karyn Kuhl Gang will perform.

The City of Hoboken invites residents to the Hoboken Fall Arts & Music Festival, set to take place in downtown Hoboken on Oct. 1. This event features a day filled with art, music, delicious food, and hundreds of talented vendors showcasing their unique crafts and artwork along Washington Street from Observer Highway to Seventh Street from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“The Fall Arts & Music Festival is a perfect opportunity for residents and visitors alike to come together, celebrate our community, and enjoy a day filled with art and music,” said Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla. “Bring your family and friends and explore the fantastic vendors offering a variety of delicious food, one-of-a-kind jewelry, artwork, and handmade crafts.”
The City today announced the headlining musical act for this year's festival: The Feelies. Hailing from Haledon, New Jersey, The Feelies are an iconic American indie rock band known for their timeless hits like "Crazy Rhythms," "Let's Go," "Fa Ce-La," and "Sooner or Later." The band's current lineup includes Glenn Mercer, Bill Million, Stan Demeski, Brenda Sauter, and Dave Weckerman.
The Feelies are releasing their seventh album and first ever live album, Some Kinda Love on Oct. 13 through Hoboken’s own Bar/None Records. Some Kinda Love features their performance of an extensive retrospective set of songs written for the Velvet Underground, recorded at a sold-out White Eagle Hall show in Jersey City on Oct.13. 2018. The album will be released on 2 x 12” LP vinyl, CD, digital download, and via streaming platforms.
In addition to The Feelies, the festival will feature a lineup of musical acts on two stages. The schedule is as follows:

Washington Street will be closed to parking and vehicular traffic between Observer Highway and Eighth Street on Oct. 1 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Please abide by all parking signs and traffic barriers. The New Jersey Transit #126 bus will be diverted to alternate routes during the festival.
The Hoboken Fall Arts & Music Festival is funded in part by a grant from the NJ Department of State, Division of Travel and Tourism and sponsored by Bijou Properties, FOG (Friends of Geri), Hufnagel Landscape Design and Construction Group, Ironstate, Veolia, This Is It Productions, The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, and WFUV.
