AUDIO: Hear The Thunderclap That Woke Up Hudson County; Several Hundred Lost Power

Several hundred Hudson County households were without power Monday morning after an early morning thunderstorm. Hear audio below.

HOBOKEN, NJ — An unusually loud early-morning thunderstorm set off car alarms in Hudson County and woke residents up on Monday. Several hundred people were without power afterward, said PSE&G.

The energy supplier said all power would be restored by 2 p.m.

In response to a Tweet about the storm waking up New York City ("ive never felt more connected to the people of nyc than this morning when we all collectively woke up and thought we were dead bc the thunder was so ----ing loud"), one man replied, "Can confirm that it woke up the entire city of Hoboken too."
