Photo Of Car In Hit-And-Run Released By Hudson County Prosecutor
The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office is seeking the driver in a hit-and-run in Jersey City Heights that left a man hospitalized.
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — Prosecutors have released an image of a vehicle they believe was involved in a hit-and-run crash in Jersey City Heights Tuesday that left a man in critical condition.
They said, "A preliminary investigation determined a motorist operating a blue and white Toyota C-HR traveled east on Griffith Street, turned left and traveled north on Sherman Avenue, and then turned right on South Street following the collision. The vehicle was last seen on Palisade Avenue in the area of South Street. The vehicle is described as a compact SUV with a white roof."
The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said Wednesday that on Tuesday at 4:35 p.m., police were notified of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle at Griffith Street and Sherman Avenue in the Heights.

A 36-year-old Jersey City man was found with serious injuries and was taken to Jersey City Medical Center. He was listed in critical condition as of Wednesday morning, prosecutors said.
"The striking vehicle did not remain at the scene," noted officials.

The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are investigating. No arrests have been made.
