Hoboken Church Offers Free Uber Rides On Easter Sunday

Commuters hoping to catch an Uber ride in Hoboken on Easter Sunday may get a pleasant surprise.

Hoboken, NJ – Commuters hoping to catch an Uber ride in Hoboken on Easter Sunday may be surprised to learn that the local portion of their ride may be covered.

Hoboken Grace Community Church members announced in a news release that the church will pick up the tab on rides for the first 5,000 people whose trip originates from Hoboken.

“Uber users can go anywhere they’d like on Easter Sunday as long as their ride originates in Hoboken,” church members stated.

Each user will receive a credit for $5.60 on Hoboken Grace’s account, the cost of a “normal local trip.”

Organizers said the free gift is their way of celebrating Easter and showing love for their city.

“It’s a small gesture that will hopefully impact a large number of people,” church members stated in a release.

“Hoboken Grace is constantly looking for creative ways to love and serve our city,” said Chris High, Pastor of Hoboken Grace. “We are really excited to celebrate Easter by serving in this way.”
