A Stevens Institute of Technology student died after falling out a window of a Clinton Street building, police say.

A Stevens Institute of Technology student died after falling out a window of a Clinton Street building on Sunday, authorities reported.
According to the Hoboken Police Department, the 21-year-old Maryland resident reportedly fell from a 5th floor window of the building around 3:30 a.m.
Officers found the student lying unresponsive on the sidewalk with injuries suffered during the fall, police reported on Tuesday.

The student – whose name is being withheld – was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office has ruled out a homicide, Hoboken police stated.

Authorities declined to release additional details about the incident pending notification of the victim’s family.
According to the Stevens Institute website, the off-campus apartment complex at 1132 Clinton Street – formerly known as The Curling Club and now dubbed the Rivington – is reserved for upper-class students, has a 133-person capacity and features balconies in each apartment.
