Hoboken Cops Arrest Out-Of-State Teen In Stolen Car: PD
Hoboken police arrested a 15-year-old Connecticut resident after he led officers on a chase in a stolen car last weekend, authorities said.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Hoboken police arrested a 15-year-old Connecticut resident after he led officers on a chase in a stolen car last weekend, authorities said.
According to the Hoboken Police Department, officers received a call from Connecticut Child Services on Saturday, advising them that a teen from their state was driving a stolen vehicle in Hoboken.
Officer soon located the vehicle – a 2015 Nissan Rogue – traveling on Madison Street, police said.

The driver ignored officers’ commands and led them on a chase, eventually losing control and striking a fence, then veering into an embankment, ending the pursuit. Officers safely removed the teen from the trapped car and placed him under arrest.
The teen didn’t sustain any apparent injuries in the crash, but emergency responders transported him to Hoboken University Medical Center for precautionary treatment, police said.

Hoboken police contacted Connecticut Child Services and the Connecticut State Police and advised them about the incident.
Hoboken authorities charged the teen with juvenile delinquency, receiving stolen property and eluding. Police in Connecticut will be charging the juvenile with aggravated assault and theft of automobile, the HPD stated.
