Hoboken Education Foundation Holds Biggest Fundraiser Of The Year

As Hoboken's schools deal with shrinking state aid, an annual fundraising gala continues to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars.

HOBOKEN, NJ — As Hoboken’s schools deal with shrinking state aid and growing enrollment, an annual gala that raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for the district is more important than ever, according to organizers.

Last week, local school supporters flocked to the Hoboken Public Education Foundation’s annual gala, the parent-run nonprofit’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

Every dollar raised during the event goes towards Hoboken schools. This year, the goal was ambitious: $225,000, organizers said.
