Hoboken Forecast: Sunny, With A Chance Of Flip-Flops

After what has seemed like unending days of cold weather and precipitation, there’s a taste of summer coming this weekend.

We just have to get through the rain on Friday.

The National Weather Service is calling for temperatures in the mid- to upper 70s on Saturday, with abundant sunshine, perfect for taking the dog - or one’s significant other - for a long walk.

But like an appetizer before the main meal, Saturday’s predicted beautiful weather is stands a chance of returning to chill and clouds on Sunday.

Take heart, however: Memorial Day weekend is just five weeks away.

Here’s an expanded look at the weather for Friday, Saturday and Sunday and into early next week:

Friday: Rain likely, mainly before noon. Cloudy, with a high near 66. South wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 54. Southwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 76. West wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 11 to 16 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 47. Northwest wind 6 to 14 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 59.

Sunday Night: A chance of rain after 3am. Increasing clouds, with a low around 48. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
