Hoboken to Host Earth Day Events in April
Volunteers and environmental activists are needed for "down and dirty" projects.

The City of Hoboken will be facilitating two upcoming events for Earth Day, which lands on Wednesday, April 22, this year:
On Saturday, April 18, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the City of Hoboken Green Team will host an “Earth Week Clean Up.”
Volunteers will meet outside the 9th Street Light Rail Station at the intersection of Jackson Street and 9th Street. Interested participants can register with Annabelle at 201-968-0808, or ambassador@hackensackriverkeeper.org

On Saturday, April 25, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Hoboken Volunteers will host a “Green Up for Earth Day” event at the Community Garden at the corner of 3rd and Jackson streets.
Volunteers will spread gravel on walkways in the community garden and put together a new storage shed. Interested participants should bring gloves, shovels and appropriate clothing, and be prepared to “get down and dirty,” according to an event flyer.

The event is being conducted in partnership with the City of Hoboken.
