Hoboken Man Accused Of Masturbating In Pier A Park: Police

HOBOKEN, NJ — Hoboken police arrested a local man after he was allegedly seen masturbating in Pier A Park on Thursday morning, authorities said.

According to the Hoboken Police Department, officers got a call about a person masturbating at the park at 6:49 a.m. The witness offered police a description of the man, and officers set off to search for him.

Police didn’t find the man inside the park, but after a brief search, located a person fitting the description in the area of 3rd and Washington streets, authorities said.

After corroborating the information the caller gave them earlier, the officers arrested the 51-year-old Hoboken resident. He was taken to police headquarters and charged with lewdness, authorities said.

Police gave the man a summons and issued him a court date.
