Hoboken Man Distributed Child Porn Images, Faces 20 Years In Jail

A 41-year-old Hoboken man admitted that he distributed images of child sexual abuse, federal prosecutors said.

HOBOKEN, NJ — A Hudson County man has admitted that he distributed images of child sexual abuse, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday.

According to federal prosecutors, Todd Walsh, 41, of Hoboken, pleaded to one count of distributing child pornography.

“From September 2016 through November 2017, undercover officers accessed an Internet-based video conferencing application and observed that a user, identified as Walsh, used the application to display images of child sexual abuse, including images of prepubescent children, to other users of the application.”

The count of distributing child pornography to which Walsh pleaded guilty carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison, a maximum potential penalty of 20 years in prison, and a $250,000 fine, prosecutors said.

Sentencing is scheduled for June 25, 2019.
