Hoboken Mayor Will Run For 3rd Term, She Says
Hoboken's Dawn Zimmer will be running for a third term as mayor, a report says.
Hoboken, NJ – Dawn Zimmer will be running for a third term as mayor.
In a recent interview, Hoboken’s first female mayor told The Backgrounder that she planned to run again when her current term – begun in 2014 – is up.
"At the end of the day, I totally love the job,” Zimmer told The Backgrounder. “No offense to everybody in Congress, but we're getting things done."

According to her biography on the municipal website, before entering politics, Zimmer worked for a large Japanese trading company and did crisis communications for a public relations firm. A photographer, she also served as marketing director for a family business, her biography states.

Zimmer is a Cum Laude Graduate of the University of New Hampshire, where she rowed crew for four years. Zimmer is also a runner who has participated in the New York City Marathon.
She lives in southwest Hoboken with her husband and two children.
