Hoboken Native 'Clavicular' Faces Rape Charge

HOBOKEN, NJ — Social media influencer "Clavicular," a Hoboken native who encourages men to "looksmax" — or work on their appearance — was charged this month with rape and other offenses, the Associated Press reported on Tuesday.

The 20-year-old celebrity, whose real name is Braden Peters, grew up in Hoboken before moving to Florida and earning millions of dollars via social media.

But he has also faced numerous legal troubles.

The woman who filed the police complaint — which L.A. Mag posted online — says that when she was 17, Peters invited her to his family's home on Cape Cod, gave her alcohol even though she was under 21, and had non-consensual sex with her.

The woman also filed a lawsuit against Peters earlier this year, news outlets reported.

On Tuesday night, Peters posted a TikTok saying, "Yea still texting me to this day...totally not just trying to be greedy and get a check," but was unclear about whether the post pertained to the charges.

Peters' spokesman, Mitchell Jackson, told Patch on Tuesday night that the alleged victim had texted Peters after the alleged incident. Jackson declined to comment further, but said a lawyer would release a statement later.

Peters has been profiled in the New York Times and other outlets for endorsing seemingly extreme measures to achieve good looks, including "bone-smashing."
