HOBOKEN, NJ — Looking for the true spirit of Thanksgiving in Hoboken? An annual tradition at Mario’s Classic Pizza on Garden Street might be just the story you’re looking for.
On Wednesday, Councilwoman Jen Giattino gave a well-deserved tip of the hat to the local pizzeria, which for decades, has been providing free, traditional Thanksgiving dinners to in-need residents and those who can’t make it home for the holidays. (Learn more about this local business here)
“Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays and once again I'd like to give a special shout out to my local pizzeria Mario's Classic Pizza,” Giattino wrote. “Every year in a celebration of the true spirit of Thanksgiving Mario Albunia opens his doors and serves a free traditional Thanksgiving dinner to anyone who can't make it home or anyone in need. Thank you Mario, and Happy Thanksgiving everyone from my family to yours!”
