2 Bodies Found In Hudson River Near Hoboken and Weehawken Border

BREAKING: Police found a pair of bodies near Weehawken Cove on Tuesday morning, authorities say.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Police found a pair bodies near Weehawken Cove at the border of Hoboken and Weehawken on Tuesday morning, authorities say.

"At this stage of the investigation, the two deaths in Hoboken do not appear to be suspicious," the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office stated. "However, we are awaiting findings from the [medical examiner]."

"There should be no concern to the public involving the two bodies found in the Hudson River in Hoboken this morning," prosecutors added Tuesday evening.

The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office told ABC7 that the bodies were found near the Weehawken/Hoboken city line.

Unnamed law enforcement sources told NBC New York that a jogger spotted a body on the rocks at about 8 a.m. When officers responded to the scene, they reportedly found a second body.

It wasn't clear how long the bodies had been in the water, nor was it known if there were any apparent signs of trauma, NBC New York stated.
