Hoboken Library To Close 2 Days Due To Snow: See Winter Weather Updates

HOBOKEN, NJ — The Hoboken library will close on Sunday and Monday due to the coming snowstorm, and the city and forecasters issued new guidance Saturday.
Gov. Mikie Sherrill held a storm briefing 3 p.m. Saturday and said that she would suspend most bus and light rail service on Sunday, and would suspend other trains later in the day.
"We are the most densely populated state in the nation," she said. "Stay off the roads on Sunday...if you need to make a last run to the grocery store or Home Depot, get it done now."

State parks are going to close at 5 p.m. Saturday.

The city said on Saturday, "The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for our area forecasting total snow accumulation of 10 to 14 inches possible early Sunday morning into Monday afternoon. Wind gusts of up to 35 mph are also possible."

The city said to stay off the roads unless travel is essential, and encouraged residents to take advantage of the $5 parking in city garages. More information is here.
The NWS expects 7-11 inches of snow starting early Sunday, then 1-3 inches at night, and freezing rain and sleet into the next morning. Snow may return after 4 a.m. Monday.
