After reviewing the ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) Performance Reports for both English Language Arts and Mathematics, I am proud to announce that the Hoboken Public School District has reached the top of the performance list in Hudson County.
The Hoboken Public School District is now the highest performing traditional, public K-12 District in Hudson County in both English Language Arts and Mathematics on the 2023 New Jersey Student Learning Assessments.

The Hoboken Public School District is now the highest performing traditional, public K-12 District in Hudson County in both English Language Arts and Mathematics on the 2023 New Jersey Student Learning Assessments.
Including all students (ELL, Homeless, Economically Disadvantaged, Special Education, 504, and Regular Education), the Hoboken Public School District recorded 66.4% proficiency in ELA and 53.7% proficiency in Mathematics. The rankings of all Hudson County K-12 Districts are as follows:

The ESSA Performance Reports also show that the "All Students" subgroup, district-wide, reached the "Met Target" level in English Language Arts and Math in both areas of Academic Performance and Academic Progress.

I am also extremely proud to report that the percentage of Hoboken High School students scoring a 3 or higher on College Board AP Exams has risen from 22% in 2015 to 73% in 2023. Way to go Redwings!

Currently we are working on goals associated with attendance, dyslexia, and dyscalculia. I am confident that our learning community will work together to find the best practices needed to make progress in these areas, which will in turn, lead to overall greater student achievement progress in the district.
