Hoboken To Register Kids For Art In the Park Starting Tuesday

The popular program for pre-schoolers age 1-4 returns. It will have art, singing, bubbles, stories, and more.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Mayor Ravi Bhalla and the city of Hoboken will once again offer Art in the Park, an outdoor arts program for children ages 1-4 years of age, in June and July. Registration opens Tuesday at 10 a.m. (link below).

Art in the Park is a Hoboken favorite, with local preschool teacher Nora Martinez DeBenedetto helping children dig into play dough, paint, glue, bubbles, sing-alongs, storytime, and more.

It takes place in the shade of your local park.

The cost for participants is $45 for five classes (45-minute sessions). Children may only attend the class for which he/she is registered. Accommodations cannot be made for switching classes or makeups (including vacations). If class is cancelled due to inclement weather conditions, parents will receive an email notification regarding a makeup date.

Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and best to dress in messy clothing, as materials used may stain clothing. For Hoboken residents only. Proof of residency required.

All adults and children 2 years and older must wear masks, and social distancing guidelines will be followed.

To register: www.hobokennj.gov/register. Cost is $45 and includes 5 / 45-minute classes.
