Hoboken’s Taco Truck Plans Grand Reopening

The Hoboken location first began serving from its "abuela-approved menu" in 2010.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Prepare to welcome back a new and improved Taco Truck, Hoboken. The Mile Square-born restaurant – which boasts an “abuela-approved” menu – will reopen on Friday, Oct. 14, following a brief closure for renovations.

According to a company news release, the renovations to the space at 62 Newark Street will include new equipment, flooring, menu displays, artwork and interior design, but the menu will be left untouched.

Founded by New Jersey residents Jason Scott and Chris Viola, The Taco Truck started as a roaming food truck. The pair opened their first brick-and-mortar location in Hoboken in 2010, and have since opened stores and kiosks in Princeton, Morristown and a seasonal location on New York City’s High Line, with a Philadelphia expansion set for late 2016.
