Hoboken Shelter To Hold Annual Winter Auction

The Hoboken Shelter provides a safe space for 50 homeless people nightly and serves 530 meals daily.

HOBOKEN, NJ — The Hoboken Shelter will host its 16th annual Winter Auction on Tuesday, Dec. 10 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Birch on 92 River Street.

The fundraising event will include drink specials, a silent auction and tricky tray. Proceeds will benefit the shelter, which provides a safe space for 50 homeless people nightly, and serves 530 meals daily.

The shelter also provides such support services as case management, counseling, job and life skills training, creative arts workshops, emergency homelessness prevention grants, and permanent supportive housing solutions.

Since 1982, the Hoboken Shelter has served more than 2.5 million meals and provided shelter to over 500,000 men and women, according to its website.
