Hoboken Teens Repair, Donate 1,000 Computers To Help Others
Eat, drink, and be merry in Hoboken to support free computers for groups that need them, and free computer-building classes for area teens.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Hoboken resident Dylan Zajac was only 15 when he founded the Hoboken based non-profit Computers 4 People in 2019, using his technical knowledge to fix donated computers and give them to individuals and organizations around North Jersey who need them.
In fact, he fixed and donated more than 900 of them.
Now, the group will be donating its 1,000th computer live later this week when Computers 4 People holds its annual charity event this Thursday.

The event doesn't just help the group repair and donate more computers. It will also go toward free computer-building classes for teens.

The event takes place at Wicked Wolf Tavern, a popular bar/restaurant near the lower waterfront. So residents can come eat and drink for a good cause.
The event will take place Thursday, Aug. 25, from 7-10 p.m.
"We are hoping to get as much of the Hudson County community involved to show our commitment to bridging the digital divide," said Zajac, who won a $36,000 grant earlier this summer as one of 15 teens making a difference.
"All the donations raised from this event will go towards our computer donation program and our Computers 4 People 4 Teen class," he noted.
The program "teaches under-resourced teens in a 2-hour fun hands-on class to put together a desktop computer. In the end they get to keep the computer! This gives the real-world desired skills and inspires them to pursue a career in technology."
