Hoboken Theater Presents Hitchcock Masterpiece For Holidays

The Mile Square Theatre in Hoboken will close its 2017 season with a production of Alfred Hitchcock's classic thriller, "The 39 Steps."

HOBOKEN, NJ — The Mile Square Theatre in Hoboken will close its 2017 season with a production of Alfred Hitchcock’s classic thriller, “The 39 Steps.” Just in time for the holidays, Patrick Barlow’s adaptation is a “fast-paced comic romp that turns the classic Hitchcock’s masterpiece into an evening of comic joy,” the theater stated.

The family-friendly show begins performances on Thursday, Nov. 30 and runs to Saturday, Dec. 23.

The cast includes Joe Delafield (Tartuffe on Broadway), Helen Hayes Award Winner Zachary Fine, Evan Zes (Signature Theatre’s Incident at Vichy), and Hoboken’s Alycia Kunkle.

The creative team includes scenic designer Charlie Corcoran (Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom at Two Rivers Theatre), MST resident costume designer Peter Fogel (Betrayal), lighting designer Jason Flamos (Betrayal), and original sound design by Ryan Rumery (Fool for Love on Broadway).

The Mile Square Theater is located at 1400 Clinton Street in Hoboken. Tickets are $30 to 40, and $18 for students and seniors. Tickets are available at www.milesquaretheatre.org, or by calling 201-683-7014.
