Hoboken Veteran's Misspelled Name on War Memorial Fixed in Time for Holiday
John Martocchia's family has campaigned for over six years to have correction made, report says.

One “A” made a world of difference for the family of a deceased World War II veteran, when a misspelled name on the Hoboken War Memorial at Sinatra Drive was fixed in time for this year’s Memorial Day observance.
According to an ABC 7 report, the family of John Martocchia had been campaigning for over six years to have the spelling of the 20-year-old veteran’s name fixed.
Martoccia’s name was previously misspelled as “Martocchi” on the memorial’s granite panel.
