Hoboken Wellness Crawl Returns In Person In September

HOBOKEN, NJ —The annual Hoboken Wellness Crawl will return in person this year after the event went virtual in 2020.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 19, the event will give attendees, aka crawlers, a chance to visit dozens of wellness businesses in Hoboken and Jersey City and, according to a release, "celebrate all of the local and incredible food, fitness, health and beauty businesses in a 'crawl format.'"

With the purchase of a ticket, participants will get a virtual map on their phone, a crawl bracelet and a backpack, and crawlers will be able to walk from location to location at their leisure on the day of the crawl.

Participating businesses - which will be both brick-and-mortar businesses and online and mobile pop-ups within local shops - will offer exclusive free items, discounted items and giveaways, according to the release. There also will be a scavenger hunt for a larger prize.

Though in person, COVID protocols will be in place. According to the organizers, masks may be required for individuals who visit businesses, though many vendors will have tables outside their business. Participants will be able to use QR codes and the Jackraffit app for entering giveaways. Additionally, there will be no fitness classes on the day of the event, though free passes for fitness classes my be offered by some studios.

The event also will raise money for charity, with $1 from every ticket sale going to the Hoboken Food Pantry. Crawlers also will be encouraged to stop by the food pantry's uptown pantry, 1301 Washington St., where they can learn about local initiatives and donate an item of food. The 2020 crawl raised over $2000 for the Hoboken Relief Fund and Hoboken Community Center, according to the release.

Tickets to the event, run by HobokenGirl, are $25 or $60 (for VIP admission), and can be purchased online. More information is available on the Hoboken Wellness Crawl website.
