Hoboken Woman Charged With 10 Drug Offenses; 2 Others Charged
Police say the Hoboken woman had 48 bags of suspected crack cocaine. Two other people were charged with drug offenses in the last four days.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Just days after police arrested three people for allegedly dealing drugs in Hoboken, three other arrests have potentially taken three other people associated with drugs off the Hoboken streets.
On Saturday night at 5:36 p.m. and 5:54 p.m. respectively, Hoboken Police arrested Francisco Martinez, 67, from Union City, and Taquana Dixon, 28, from Hoboken, on a host of drug charges.
Friday night, they also arrested a Hoboken resident on a host of drug charges, related to an arrest of another man in June.

All four were arrested in the area of the Hoboken Housing Authority public housing projects.

Francisco Martinez, 67, was arrested at 200 Marshall St. on Saturday night and charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of prescription legend drugs.
Eighteen minutes later, Dixon was arrested at 310 Jackson St. and charged with 10 drug offenses related to both heroin and crack cocaine, including distribution within 500 feet of public housing, possession with intent to distribute, and possession within 1000 feet of a school zone.
Sequence Of Events, According To Police:
- On Saturday night, police say, Street Crime Unit Detectives Mark Mullins, Connor Milne, Fabian Quinones, under the supervision of Det. Sgt. William Collins, arrested Martinez, 67. He was in possession of 10 wax folds of suspected heroin, paraphernalia, and two pills of suspected prescription drugs, police say. Martinez was transported to police headquarters and charged with three drug-related offenses. He also had three open warrants from the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office, police say. He was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
- Before Martinez was placed under arrest, Det. Mark Mullins had observed what he believed to be a drug transaction between Martinez and a woman identified as Dixon, police say. Det. Sgt. William Collins and Det. Fabian Quinones located Dixon in the area of 310 Jackson St., arrested her, and searched her. They found her in possession of 43 wax folds of suspected heroin, police say, as well as 48 small bags of suspected crack cocaine, and five plastic vials of suspected crack cocaine. She was charged with 10 drug offenses and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
Two Other Drug Arrests
Meanwhile, on Friday, police arrested Derrick Delacruz, 28, from Hoboken, on drug charges, related to the arrest of Franklyn Hernandez, 33, from Union City, the previous month.
Those arrests took place at 311 Harrison St. and 200 Marshall St. respectively, both at the Hoboken Housing Authority public housing buildings.
Police say that this was the sequence of events:
On Sunday, June 13, around 8:30 p.m., Street Crime Unit Detectives Mark Mullins, Connor Milne, Fabian Quinones, under the supervision of Det. Sgt. William Collins arrested Franklyn Hernandez from Union City in the area of 200 Marshall Street. Police say he was in possession of 10 wax folds of suspected Heroin and paraphernalia. Hernandez was transported to police headquarters and his charges of possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia were placed on a warrant. Hernandez was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
Prior to Hernandez being placed under arrest, Det. Mark Mullins had observed what he believed to be a drug transaction between Hernandez and a male identified as Delacruz. As a result, Det. Fabian Quinones generated a warrant for the arrest of Delacruz, with several drug charges on it. This past Friday, Det. Sgt. William Collins saw Delacruz near 311 Harrison St. Det. Mullins searched him and uncovered 52 wax folds of suspected heroin, police say. Delacruz had charges added to his warrant for possession with intent to distribute heroin, and possession with intent to distribute within 500 feet of public housing and within 1,000 feet of a school zone. Delacruz was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
