Each spring and fall, Mission 50 awards a free, six-month residency to one outstanding graduate of Jersey City-based nonprofit Rising Tide Capital’s Community Business Academy.

This fall’s residency winner - Daniela Galvez – intends to start an event planning company to be called “Love The Time,” and will be able to spend the next six months working out of the Mission 50 workspace in the penthouse of the Hoboken Business Center… free of charge.

“In addition to being the perfect match for Mission 50 in terms of her day-to-day operational needs, Daniela exemplifies the sheer passion and tenacity that drive so many of our small business clients,” said Roger Cervantes, senior program manager for Rising Tide’s Business Accelerated Services (BAS) department.

Galvez, one of more than 1,000 graduates of the program, was selected from a competitive pool of Rising Tide entrepreneurs, a release stated.

Galvez, a mother of two boys who lives in Jersey City Heights, is working with a finance and marketing coach provided by Rising Tide to put in place fundamentals for her new venture.

A hard launch is planned for January of 2016, a release stated.

“We are extremely grateful to have been chosen for the Mission 50 work space,” said Galvez. “It will allow us to Skype without interruption and we’ll be able to meet clients in a professional setting as opposed to our local Starbucks. We’re also excited about sharing ideas and energy with other business professionals.”
