Hudson County Primary Election Voter Guide: Who's Running, Where To Vote
Hoboken and Jersey City residents can vote in the primary for Congress and county commission through Tuesday. Details are here.
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ —Voters in Hudson County can head to the machines or mailbox on Tuesday to vote in several primary races.
Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

The winners of the primary elections will get their party's nomination to face off in the general election in November.
Voters with mail-in ballots can fill them out and mail them any time until 8 p.m. Tuesday. More information is here.

Congress
In the 8th District Congressional race, incumbent Rep. Rob Menendez is facing a primary challenge from Mussab Ali for the Democratic nomination.
The 8th District includes, Hoboken and parts of Jersey City, Newark, Elizabeth, as well as several other Hudson County towns.
Menendez hopes to serve a third two-year term.
Ali is a former Jersey City school board president. Both candidates live in Jersey City.

Hudson County Commissioner
Ron Bautista is running as a Democrat to succeed longtime County Commissioner (formerly Freeholder) Anthony Romano.
While both were expected to vie for the nomination, Romano has decided not to run.

Bautista may face an Independent candidate in the general election in June. Candidates must file by Tuesday.
The commissioner's seat will represent Hoboken and some of Jersey City.

The 8th Congressional District includes Bayonne, East Newark, Elizabeth, Guttenberg, Harrison, Hoboken, part of Jersey City, part of Kearny, North Bergen, Union City, Weehawken, and West New York.
