Hoboken Pop Culture Enthusiast Publishes Book About Christmas
Ed Daly has published books about cereal and history's biggest "jerks." Now he's got one that makes a great Christmas gift.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Over the years, Hoboken-based author Ed Daly has let his passions guide him when choosing writing topics. Among his interests the local dad lists "history, cereal, rap music, t-shirts, and Beverly Hills, 90210. And Christmas."
In fact, he published a pop-culture book about cereal in 2011, and last year, he released a book about "Heroes and Jerks" through history. READ MORE: Hoboken Author Releases Book About Jerks, And Heroes Too
Now he's published a book that'd look good under a tree: "The Christmas Book: The Ultimate Guide To Your Favorite Holiday." The book was released last October.

In the book, Daly covers everything from Christmas origins and traditions around the world to relevant books, music, films, toys, fashion, and more.
"It felt good to hone in this year on something positive and unifying," Daly said. "I'm hoping this book will have broad seasonal appeal — and that people will think of it as a nice Christmas gift to give!"

A release on the book notes that Daly wanted to "tap into times of joy, togetherness, and normalcy. And so, the history and pop culture enthusiast set upon learning and sharing all about the most wonderful time of the year."
Daly includes various pop culture angles, of course. He looks at holiday influencers from Charles Dickens to Mariah Carey, whom he says had a "seismic" impact on modern Christmas music.
Daly lives in Hoboken with his wife and two sons.
The book is available in hardcover, paperback, and via Kindle. Pick up The Christmas Book on Amazon here.
