Ice Cream Sundae Spot Is Coming To Uptown Hoboken
Surreal Creamery, which specializes in ice cream sundaes, is coming to uptown Hoboken. But when?
HOBOKEN, NJ — When Surreal Creamery placed an electronic ad in the window of the former Prompt MD on upper Washington Street in Hoboken early this year, it was a hint that the New York City-based ice cream chain might open there.
Now, the signs point to "Yes."
Jersey Digs noted on Wednesday that the company has submitted an application to the city's Historic Preservation Commission about its signage.

The eatery would be located at 1122 Washington St. PromptMD closed that location in spring 2022, but still has a location at 309 Washington St.
Apparently, Surreal will also have less competition than expected, as another ice cream shop owner has apparently nixed her plans to open Brix House a few doors down at 1112 Washington St. — the former site of Giorgio's Bakery — Hoboken Girl reported recently.

Mason Jars And 'Floteas'
Surreal Creamery offers ice cream sundaes in Mason jars, festooned in toppings from cereal to syrups. They also offer "Floteas," cookies, Bubble teas, and shakes.
They have locations in New York City, Westfield, and New Brunswick.
Patch will post more information about the location when it's available. For now, little work has been done at the former Prompt site besides the posting of the screen.
