Hungry? Jersey City Pizza Fest To Return, Raise Money For Charity

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Jersey City was one of only 11 American towns included in a Food and Wine Magazine's list of "America's Next Great Food Cities" in 2022 — and some of that food comes in the form of pizza.

Later this month, the annual Pizza Fest returns to the city, allowing participants to try a variety of pies from the best restaurants, with some of the proceeds going to food banks for the needy.

General admission tickets include a half slice of pie from each participating eatery, and other perks.

The event takes place on March 28, a Saturday, from 1-5 p.m.

"This isn’t your average food festival," organizers say. "It’s a citywide pizza crawl. So round up your crew, bring the family, and explore Jersey City one bite at a time. You''ll sample everything from signature slices to bold new creations."

Among the participants and their special pies will be:

• &pizza - American Honey pie with spicy tomato, hot honey, goat cheese, and more
• The Ashford - BBQ Chicken Flatbread
• Carmines Pizza Factory - Tomato Pesto
• Helen’s Pizza - Margherita Pizza
• Luna Restaurant - Personal Detroit Style Pizza
• Pizzeria Las Americas - La Mexicana (pork), NYC (square pepperoni), Chipotle Chicken, and Margherita
• Porta - Margherita Pizza
• Rustique - Margherita Pizza, The “Kathy” Pizza (housemade vodka sauce, mozzarella, pecorino romano, pepperoncino flakes), Four Cheese Pizza (mozzarella, fontina, pecorino romano, shaved parmesan), The “Marc” Pizza (italian sausage, hot cherry pepper, caramelized onions), The “Mike” Pizza (white truffle honey, prosciutto di parma, roasted garlic oil, pepperoncino flakes), The “Tammy” Pizza (spinach, roasted garlic, caramelized onions)
• Stellas 24-Hour Eatery - Plain Cheese and Trinity Slice (marinara sauce, pesto sauce, vodka sauce)
• Studio Jersey City (Inside Canopy by Hilton) - BBQ Chicken Pizza and a Wild Mushroom Pizza
• Tino's Artisan Pizza Co - Tino's Margherita, American Pie, and Raffaella
• Tony Boloney's - Ohh Laa Laa Pie (french onion soup extra caramelized onions, dry aged mozzarella, gruyère cheese, parsley)
• Two Boots Jersey City - The V for Vegan (artichokes, red onions, shiitake mushrooms, sweet red pepper pesto, basil pesto & Daiya non-dairy cheese) and Pork Store (sweet Italian sausage, hot cherry peppers, pecorino, mozzarella & tomato sauce)
• Wonder - Detroit Brick Veggie Pizza, Alanza Vodka Pizza, DiFara Pepperoni Square Pizza

A VIP ticket allows people to skip the lines, get a t-shirt, and enjoy a variety of drinks, desserts, and other perks.
