Judge Accused Of Groping Woman At Law Office In Hudson County

A municipal judge has been accused of grabbing a woman's breasts at his law office in Hudson County. He's been suspended without pay.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A municipal judge has been accused of groping a woman’s breasts at his law office in North Bergen, prosecutors announced Thursday.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit arrested Nino Falcone, 78, at 7:20 a.m. in North Bergen without incident.

According to prosecutors, Falcone – a North Bergen resident and municipal judge in that town– allegedly grabbed a woman’s breasts without her consent on Aug. 29 at his private law office at 7807 Bergenline Avenue in North Bergen.

Prosecutors said Falcone was charged with one count of criminal sexual contact, a fourth-degree crime. After being processed on a complaint-summons, Falcone was released on his own recognizance.

A hearing for Falcone’s first appearance is scheduled for Oct. 3 in Hudson County Superior Court in Jersey City.

On Thursday, the Supreme Court of New Jersey suspended Falcone without pay until further order, effective immediately. The matter will also be referred to the Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct, authorities said.
