Lane Closings, Repairs At GWB, Holland Tunnel, Bayonne Bridge
Ongoing construction work will impact traffic at the George Washington Bridge, Holland Tunnel and Bayonne Bridge, the Port Authority says.

Ongoing construction work will impact traffic at the George Washington Bridge, Holland Tunnel and Bayonne Bridge beginning Friday, the Port Authority says.
According to the Port Authority of NY/NJ, the Bayonne Bridge will be closed during the overnight hours on Friday, Jan. 19, for ongoing construction work. Lane closings are also planned for the George Washington Bridge and the Holland Tunnel this weekend and/or next week for ongoing construction and repair projects, the Port Authority stated.
The lane closings at the GWB are part of the Port Authority’s ongoing “Restoring the George” program, which involves major rehabilitation work at the busy bridge.

BAYONNE BRIDGE

- The Bayonne Bridge will be closed from 11:59 p.m. on January 19, through 8 a.m. Saturday, January 20, for ongoing construction work.
HOLLAND TUNNEL
- One westbound lane in the tunnel will be closed during overnight hours from Sunday, January 21, through Thursday, January 25, from 11:59 p.m. each night through 5:30 a.m. the following morning. The closings are needed for ongoing tunnel repairs.
- One eastbound lane in the tunnel will be closed during overnight hours from Sunday, January 21, through Thursday, January 25, from 11 p.m. each night through 5 a.m. the following morning. The closings are needed for ongoing tunnel repairs.
GEORGE WASHINGTON BRIDGE
- The bridge’s lower level eastbound side will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday, January 19, through 10 a.m. Saturday, January 20.
- The bridge’s lower level westbound side will be closed from 10 p.m. Saturday, January 20, through 10 a.m. Sunday, January 21.
